Watch us change the world on twitter!
Social Media is a peculiar tool as it essentially does the job of billboards. It is good for spreading awareness but not for a lot of information. However, online media does allow you to find more information about the source and also to introduce you to ideas that you otherwise wouldn't have seen.

The Social Media Campaign project was a good introduction into the work that a lot of activists do to get their word and point of view out into the world. It showed me the amount of other people in the world that also care about the same issues and are willing to advocate for the same issues.
The 2 organizations that I chose to advocate for was Corvid Isle and The American Bird Conservatory.
The American Bird Conservancy had a lot of information on ways to be "bird-friendly" at home.
Corvid Isle is an organization that does rehab work with birds like the crow and the raven.
Two problems I discovered were actually with domestic cats and glass collisions which both killed over 1 billion birds EACH in only one year!
Some solutions I was able to find were simple actually. Keeping cats indoors could possibly save 1 billion birds and there are tons of "bird-smart" options that are really good for preventing birds flying straight into windows.
An infographic was part of the requirements and this was mine. It gave a summary of all the actions you could take to be truly "bird-friendly".
