TWEET STORM

So far, my twitter has only been mildly helpful. I think I need to tweak my settings and follow some different folks because it is a lot of content that doesn't help me out too much. One positive note however is that it does expose me to new species and buzz words. I have come across a few articles that I actually do find to be very interesting and I see being useful for my upcoming essays. One issue for me doing research is that often I lose motivation but Twitter is helping me out with that as well. There are non academic accounts that post cute pictures of animals that make me care about the issues I'm doing research on. Even the cute pictures of dogs and cats inspire me to do better research on crows and elephants because it makes me feel empathy and realize that the animals may see the world how we do.

I also did some responding to other students blogs this week. Their blogs were very interesting to read because everyone is learning at their own pace with some frustrations that I share as well. I enjoyed it because I was able relate to them and it helps to create a small community classroom even though we are in an online class. I responded to Erica, Jiatong, and Kaiyang and they were very interested in the topic but they also had their frustrations with research in general and it was very relieving to see that I was not the only one who had these emotions.
